At Red Kite Pilates I offer small, friendly classes in the heart of the beautiful South Downs town of Petersfield and the village of Rogate.

You are very welcome, whether a beginner looking to grasp the fundamentals or a Pilates disciple looking to develop and improve your own practice.

My aim is to help you to move better, feel better and have some fun while we do it.

About Me
Hello, I’m Emma. I’m not an athlete, I’m not a dancer but pilates helped me change my body and my life and I believe it can help you too.
​
I’ve always enjoyed being fit and active, but in my twenties and thirties I started suffering with bouts of serious back pain. I thought that if I just kept fit, kept running, cycling and playing sports it would sort itself out. But it didn’t, in fact it got worse. After the birth of my second child my back finally gave up and I herniated a disc. Unable to walk properly and in near constant pain I finally gave pilates a try…and haven’t looked back. It kept my body stable and strong during my third pregnancy and I feel stronger and more importantly pain free several years on as a result of regular practice.

But enough about me. Truly, this stuff works. Come and have fun trying it or improving your practice, wherever you are on your journey. I look forward to meeting you.

I qualified to teach through Body Control Pilates, one of the most rigorous and comprehensive matwork teacher training courses currently available. It includes in depth study in to anatomy and physiology and many hours of supervised teaching.
​
As well as running my own classes I teach for a Midhurst based physiotherapy practice and take part in regular training and development.

Pre and Postnatal Pilates
Pilates is a wonderful way to look after your self during pregnancy and to help you recover your body post birth.
Doing this with other mums/ mums to be can be rewarding and fun, some great friendships start here. And without doubt, your body will thank you for it.

I’m fully qualified (Body Control Pilates and Pregnancy: Antenatal and Postnatal Pilates Programmes) to guide you through your Pilates practice as you embark on this wonderful, sometimes scary, journey.
As a mum of three I fully understand how tough the early days can be and how you can feel that your body no longer belongs to you. My aim is to bring some love and light to our classes so that you leave knowing that you’ve worked your body safely and effectively and feel better than you did when you arrived.

Pre and postnatal 1:1 / 2:1 and small group sessions available, contact me to find out more and arrange.

Classes
All classes are small with a maximum of 12 participants allowing me to support the needs and aims of all those attending.
​​
They are held during Hampshire school term times (generally a term of 6 or 7 weeks). You will need to book for the whole term, in advance, to secure your place.
The next term runs for 6 weeks from the week beginning Monday 24th February to the week beginning Monday 31st March and costs £72. Drop in places may be available, if space allows, at £14.50 a session.

1 to 1 Pilates sessions are also available. These are a great way to focus on your specific needs and provide a great springboard to achieving your goals.
